    Join Watersong and the 432 Run Crew for our very first pop up trail run!! Whether you’re a seasoned trail runner looking for a new view or a family wanting a morning stroll, this 5K is for you.

    No Registration: Just show up and run (or walk!).

    All Ages & Levels: Everyone is welcome on the playa.

    The Vibe: Community, fresh air, and a great start to your Saturday.

    Meet us at the trailhead pavilion at 8:00 AM. See you on the playa!

    Join Midland Stewards of the Wild at Watersong Wild Space on Wednesday, April 15, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. 

    We will start this event by taking a tour of the beautiful Watersong Wild Space. Opened to the public in 2013 as the I-20 Wildlife Preserve, Watersong Wild Space is a 100-acre riparian forest campus in Midland, Texas. The 86-acre urban playa lake is the highlight of the wetlands, floodplain thickets, and prairie grasslands – providing abundant avian, wildlife, and aquatic habitat. 

    The tour will be followed by a social where folks can ask questions, connect, and learn more about Stewards of the Wild. Light snacks and beverages will be provided.

    If you plan on taking the tour, please wear clothes/footwear you are comfortable walking around in.

    Trash Free Gulf Cleanup 2026

    Midland SOTW will be working with Sibley Nature Center as part of the Gulf Trust's 2026 Trash Free Gulf Initiative!

    The Trash Free Gulf campaign, a program of the Gulf Trust, is presented by H-E-B’s Our Texas, Our Future. We are working with partners across Texas in May 2026 to conduct litter cleanups in every major watershed and along the coastline. We can turn the tide together by keeping our local waters clean — for Texas and beyond. Through our collective efforts at home, we can ensure our waterways thrive and create a lasting impact downstream.  

    Join us for a morning of giving back to Midland! Closed-toed shoes and a hat are recommended. Please bring gloves if you have them. RSVP below to let us know you're coming.

Stewards of the Wild, Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation’s conservation leadership program, equips emerging leaders aged 21 to 45 with opportunities to actively participate in the stewardship of Texas’ wild things and wild places by providing education, networking, and outdoor experiences.
